Foreign students
No German A-levels? No problem! As part of your application, we will check how your highest school certificate is classified in Germany. You can prove your outstanding artistic talent with your portfolio! Depending on your highest school certificate may have to attend the so called Studienkolleg (preparatory college) after passing the entrance examination.
Every Wednesday there is an online portfolio consultation so that you know how to submit your portfolio to the HfG Offenbach. The deadline for submitting the portfolio is between 15th of May and 1st of June.
For a Bachelor’s degree program, you need proof of sufficient German language skills (e.g. DSH-2, TestDAF-4, “telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule” certificate, Goethe Zertifikat C1). If you can only provide proof of language level B2 by the end of the application deadline (June 1), you can submit proof of language level C1 for enrolment by September 15. Important: If you do not have a B2 language certificate by June 1st, you cannot be admitted to the further admission procedure. If you do not provide proof of sufficient German language skills (C1) by September 15, you will not be admitted to the degree program despite passing the entrance exam. Take care of the appropriate language courses and exam dates in good time.
The same requirements apply for a Master’s degree course, i.e. German at level C1. Alternatively, you can provide proof of a combination of German language skills at level B2 and English language skills at level C1, in each case in accordance with the language statutes.
